Public Access to Educational Resources

If you are a member of a public service organization (eg. Girl Guides, seniors’ residence, day care centre) and you are interested in accessing the educational resources of the CDHNS, please contact members@cdhns.ca for further information.

A dental hygienist in your area may be available to provide an oral health information session.

It is important to practice good oral hygiene to help prevent oral health problems and to help maintain your overall health. 

ORAL HEALTH FOR YOUR INFANT

The CDHNS has once again partnered with Leslie Kenwell, RDH, in creating an educational brochure., Oral Health for Your Infant. This brochure will be a useful tool to help educate clients on infant oral care.

WHITE PAPER: PREVENT MORE TO TREAT LESS

The College of Dental Hygienists of Nova Scotia has commissioned a White Paper:

BRUSHING UP ON MOUTH CARE

On December 4, 2018, the Brushing up on Mouth Care  website was relaunched after being redesigned. This website has a suite of updated open access resources to support the delivery of optimum daily mouth care for those who may be dependent on others for their care. This includes a link to Nova Scotia Dept of Health and Wellness’s Long-Term Care Requirements (including oral care). There are sections for health care professionals, administrators, educators and family/care givers.  Check it out at  brushingup.ca
